– Location Data: With your permission, we use your device’s GPS to suggest your municipality. This data is processed locally and through BigDataCloud API to determine your city. We do not store your precise location.
– Analytics Data: We use Amplitude (hosted in the EU) to collect anonymous usage data such as app opens, feature usage, and general interaction patterns. This helps us improve the app experience.
– Device Information: Basic device information for app functionality and crash reporting.

Information Stored Locally

– Your schedule preferences and settings are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage.
– Widget data is stored locally to display your trash collection schedule.

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:
– Provide trash collection reminders based on your municipality’s schedule
– Send push notifications at your preferred time
– Improve app functionality and user experience
– Respond to schedule correction reports you submit

Data Storage and Security

– Local Storage: Most of your data is stored locally on your device.
– Firebase: We use Firebase to store cross-platform information to optimise your experience cross-device. Firebase servers are located in the EU.
– Analytics: Amplitude analytics data is processed in the EU server zone.

Our app uses the following third-party services:
– Firebase for Authentication
– Firebase for persistent store
– Amplitude: For anonymous analytics (EU servers)
– BigDataCloud: For reverse geocoding (city detection from GPS coordinates)
