Getting Started
How do I set up iBidoni for the first time?
When you first open iBidoni, you'll go through a simple setup process:
  1. Allow location access to automatically detect your municipality
  2. Confirm or manually select your city
  3. Set your preferred notification time
  4. You're ready to go!
What if my municipality isn't listed?
If your municipality isn't in our database, you can create a custom schedule. During setup, tap "My city isn't listed" and manually enter your weekly trash collection schedule. You can also report your municipality to us, and we'll add it to our database.
Can I use iBidoni without creating an account?
Yes! iBidoni works completely without an account. Signing in with Google or Apple is optional and only needed if you want to sync your preferences across devices or help us improve the schedules for your area.
Notifications
How do I change my notification time?
Go to Settings (gear icon) and tap on "Notification Time". You can choose any time that works best for you. We recommend setting it for the evening before collection day, so you have time to put out your bins.
Why am I not receiving notifications?
Please check the following:
  • Notifications are enabled in iBidoni Settings
  • Notifications are allowed in your device's Settings → iBidoni
  • Do Not Disturb mode is turned off at your notification time
  • Battery optimization isn't blocking iBidoni (Android)
Can I get notifications for specific trash types only?
Currently, iBidoni sends one notification that includes all trash types for the next day. We're considering adding more granular notification options in a future update.
Schedule
How do I view my weekly schedule?
Tap on the "Schedule" tab (calendar icon) at the bottom of the screen. You'll see your full weekly collection schedule with all trash types for each day.
The schedule for my area is incorrect. How can I report it?
We appreciate your help! Go to Settings and tap "Report Schedule Issue". Fill in the correct information and we'll update our database. This helps everyone in your municipality get accurate reminders.
What happens during holidays?
iBidoni knows about special collection days and holidays. When there's a change to the regular schedule (like Christmas or Easter), you'll see a banner on the home screen explaining the change. The schedule automatically adjusts for these special days.
Can I edit my schedule manually?
If you're using a custom schedule (not linked to a municipality), you can edit it anytime from the Schedule tab. Tap the edit button and modify the trash types for each day. If you're using an official municipality schedule, the data comes from our database and is updated automatically.
Troubleshooting
The widget isn't showing on my home screen
For iOS: Long-press on your home screen, tap the "+" button, search for "iBidoni", and add the widget.

For Android: Long-press on your home screen, select "Widgets", find iBidoni, and drag it to your screen. Make sure iBidoni has permission to display widgets in your device settings.
The app is using too much battery
iBidoni is designed to use minimal battery. It only checks for schedule updates when you open the app. If you notice unusual battery usage, try force-closing and reopening the app. The widget updates once per day and shouldn't significantly impact battery life.
How do I change my municipality?
Go to Settings and tap on your current municipality name. You can search for a new city or use your GPS location to detect it automatically.
How do I change the app language?
Go to Settings and tap on "Language". You can choose between Italian and English. The app will immediately update to your selected language.
